From tuition, to degrees, to departures
Kajal Mehta opened a tuition and handwriting class in 1996. Students who came for handwriting stayed for their board exams; students who came for board exams came back asking which degree to take. The questions kept getting bigger, and eventually they were about other countries.
That is the whole reason KMI works the way it does. It grew out of teaching, not out of sales. Nobody here is paid to fill a quota for a university, and the person who reads your first email is the person who preps you for your visa interview. Students call them Kajal Ma'am and Rajiv Sir, and a fair number call them aunty and uncle.
